There is no other alternator in my book! Bolted right in place of my stock one, and was a breeze to wire up. Got it out of the junkyard probably 20 years ago for $30. Still going strong.

Its a short harness that clips into the 3G (correctly) and has the stock charge wire. I unbolted the charge wire at the fuse box and clipped the green wire past the connector. As for wiring on my 93. While the Taurus alternator does have the connectors on the bottom, it only requires minor modification to the factory Fox alternator bracket. I used a alternator off of a 1999 Taurus 3.0.

Cut the plug off the bundle with the square connector, and splice the stator plug onto the smallest of the 3 wires in the bundle.
